SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES:

Fabrics
The performance specifications of the luggage shell fabric used in VALOROSO Collection are the highest in the world. We call our fabric "Armor Plate"T with good reason. Combining this fabric with over-engineered design & construction techniques yields luggage of extraordinary durability:
  • Armor Plate fabric is constructed of 4 yarns of 1050 denier air texturized type #6.6 high tenacity ballistic nylon yarn plus a single monofilament type # 6.6 high tenacity nylon yarn in VALOROSO'S signature 2x3 Ballistic weave pattern.
  • Our exclusive "Armor Plate" fabric with the highest combination of abrasion resistance and tear strength found in the luggage industry
  • A urethane rubber water barrier back coating is applied in an ultra-durable, triple pass application process sealing the fabric & further improving its abrasion resistance by resisting the shifting of yarns.
  • A stain & water resistant silicon surface finish is applied as a final precaution.

  • Interiors are lined with a 200 denier nylon oxford fabric tightly woven in a honeycomb rip-stop pattern. This fabric is coated with a water barrier urethane back coating and also finished with a stain & water repellant surface treatment.
  • Lining color is a medium grey not black, which makes seeing inside a packed bag much easier.
Leather
VALOROSO Luggage is constructed with large cuttings of Industrial Belting Leather serving both protective and decorative functions. Developed four centuries ago to meet the needs of Industrial Revolution factories, Belting leather drive belts transmitted power from overhead shafts to machinery. Industrial Belting leather is the strongest yet most flexible leather ever created by the tanner's art.

It can only be produced in small batches in a costly, week-long "vegetable tanning process" using natural tannic acids derived from tree bark. By contrast modern chromium salt tanning processes take only hours but weaken the leather fiber. Once tanned, hides are fully dyed through, then hand cut, hand rubbed & edge sealed. Each piece is unique, and over time will wear-in with a recognizable character that reflects the owner's pattern of use.

Webbing
Up to 2" wide military specification nylon webbings are used for VALOROSO. Construction disciplines include 100% edge fusing and multiple reinforced stitching with nylon thread in Box-X or Bar-Tack patterns.

Hardware
The external hardware set created for VALOROSO Luggage was inspired by the incredibly strong but ultra-light cast aluminum hardware made to secure armored vehicles on military cargo aircraft. VALOROSO oversized, solid cast aluminum hardware is unbreakable. Injection molded quick release nylon hardware is also specified in appropriate applications.

Zippers & Zipper Hardware
VALOROSO Luggage specifies the world's most durable and reliable zipper; the injection molded nylon Decathlon ® zipper. 7.5mm wide & 9.5mm wide molded tooth nylon YKK Decathlon® zippers are used for all external applications. The teeth of Decathlon zippers are molded to achieve a full mechanical interlock when closed. This construction achieves greater cross-pull strength test results than any polyester coil zippers.

The molded nylon teeth of Decathlon zipper also far exceed coil zippers in resistance to wear and abrasion. Unlike coil zippers they do not rely on vulnerable chain stitching to be held in place on the zipper tape. Instead the teeth are individually injection molded onto the beaded edge of the zipper tape and through tiny holes in the tape allowing the nylon material to literally flow through the tape welding top & bottom sides together.

VALOROSO zipper pulls are made with steel shanks then over molded with nylon grips. Their shape is easy to grasp and pull. Their unique construction makes them ¼ the weight of typical all metal zipper pulls, yet 10 times stronger. Inter-locking zipper bodies feature an advanced low profile crown design to dramatically improve the strength & durability of the interlocking eyelets and zipper pull attachment loop. Zipper bodies incorporate the Quick-Fix ® replaceable zipper pull feature.

Frame System Design & Components
Frames create the structure for the mobility components of wheeled luggage (telescoping handles and wheel assemblies) and protect the contents you pack. They are the indispensable building block of wheeled luggage.

VALOROSO wheeled Pullmans (and other styles of our wheeled products) are built with a patented 5-sided frame. The top, bottom, two side walls and rear wall of our frames create a full enclosure resulting in an unprecedented level of protection for your packed contents and the key components that keep your rolling luggage on the road. U.S. Patent # 6,220,412 B1.

Our frames are made with an ultra-light Polycarbonate honeycomb material. It is extremely light yet rigid & impact resistant.

Once assembled every corner of a VALOROSO Pullman is reinforced with an external impact & wear resistant nylon bumper. These bumpers add to the protection provided by Armor Plate fabric in obvious high wear zones; another example of VALOROSO over-engineered approach.

Ergogrip Telescoping Handle System
VALOROSO Luggage provides the worlds most advanced ergonomic telescoping handle system, the patented ErgoGrip®. The pivoting three-sided ErgoGrip telescoping handle system provides exceptional physical comfort & clearance for easy striding when transporting wheeled luggage over long (or short) distances.

When pivoted back 60° the handle can be held in the body's natural palm inward position with either hand. The user walks with a natural stride and the arm relaxed at the user's side. The arm is not forced into the awkward, arm back, shoulder twisted position required by conventional telescoping handles. This position can become uncomfortable when pulling heavily loaded bags over long distance, between terminal buildings for example.

The ErgoGrip handle also reduces the weight carried by the user when walking. When pivoted, holding the handle on either of its sides moves bag's position up & closer to its weight neutral balance point.

When held in a convention position the ErgoGrip's tall handle height will be appreciated by tall users. When held from its side all users gain extra inches of clearance from the wheeled bag to facilitate the occasional fast dash needed to reach the departure gate in time. The ErgoGrip handle features two release buttons, either one can be used to lock the handle up, down or control the secondary pivoting section. Wheeled Corner & Wheels
Wheels are placed is in the extreme corners of VALOROSO wheeled bags to provide the maximum possible wheel base for stability. Wheel corner design minimizes intrusion inside the bag, maximizing interior packing space. Quiet rolling polyurethane treaded wheels are equipped with dual sealed ball bearing races. Wheels are engineered to provide 50 miles or more of lifetime service.

The high wear & impact prone wheeled corner of all checked styles are fully protected by a durable hi-impact skid plates. Both handle system and wheel mounting components are fully enclosed inside our patented 5-sided frame for extra protection.

Stability Of Wheeled Styles
Exceptional maneuvering stability is assured by widest possible wheel placement. Superior standing stability of all wheeled styles is provided by low profile, forward facing support feet. The front to back "foot print" of most styles is greater than the depth of the case itself. Expandable bags, awkwardly loaded bags or bags using the top carry strap feature remain upright when at rest.

Seam Construction
There is no excuse for a seam that comes apart; none. That is why every inch of every seam (whether internally or externally bound) is double, triple or even quadruple sewn with the strongest nylon thread available.

Component Assembly
All frame and mechanical components are assembled with steel screws and threaded nuts. If ever necessary, VALOROSO Luggage can be serviced easily in the field with common tools.

Iron Clad Warranty Enhancement Program
VALOROSO Luggage offers its owners a premium warranty program. Our normal warranty against defect in workmanship and defects can be enhanced for a period up to five years from date of purchase. During the enhancement period Andiamo Luggage will provide repair or replacement at no charge for any damage no matter how incurred.
